Leadership

At MID we encourage students to become leaders with in their community.  Kindergartners can be a teacher helper or read a verse in one of our many school wide events, a fourth grade student can help as a morning safety patrol, and a middle school student can serve on the Middle School Leadership Team.  A High School Students can serve on the Student Council or work on the school news paper. MID integrates leadership opportunities into all areas of our students daily life.  At MID everyone is a leader.

School Community

At MID we believe in community.  We offer community gatherings and fellowship opportunities for the entire family through out the year.  MID families come together for student lead productions each fall, winter, and spring.  MID host Ice Cream Socials, Fall Festivals, Valentine's Day Dances for K-5th grade, Upper school dances, 5K's, and Veterans Day programing. We celebrate our students accomplishments with character awards, awards ceremonies, and graduations. Parent volunteers coach our elementary soccer, basketball, and cheer squads. Parents of our upper school student athletes volunteer their time as assistant coaches or sell concessions at the games. We have school wide pep-rallys throughout the year where students, staff, and parents come together to celebrate. To become a MID student is to become part of a larger family.  To become a MID family is to become part of the MID community.
